COMPUTER DEPT. EXPLORES COMDDAP EXPO MANILA

A group of students together with some selected computer instructors departed at 6:00 early in the morning for a field trip at Expo Manila, MMDA and Bayantel last December 5, 2008 as partial requirement for their respective courses.

“This is to orient our students to the newest trends in IT and sophisticated communication systems in our country nowadays,” the computer department head Mr. Vermon Bagalso explained.  Bagalso also said that his purpose of getting out of the campus and expose his students to the most modern technology is to make them competitive in information  technology and not to be left behind in terms of computer skills.
At around 10 A.M. the team arrived at Bayantel.  A symposium on telecommunication was made because the company was promoting their wireless broadband technology aside from their landline telecommunication.

The ICF tourists’ interest was caught when they reached the MMDA Main Office reminding them the chairperson Bayani Fernando. They were amazed when they personally saw wide screens of the Traffic Monitoring Systems of the agency via CCTV Cameras. “Kung gusto mo palang makita ang buong Manila in one place, dapat dito ka pumunta,” Angela Rocillo, a first year ACT student exclaimed.

At 4:00 P.M. the team reached their final destination, the COMDDAP EXPO MANILA 2008 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.  “Those exhibits are really amazing,” Mr. Gandola, a computer instructor delightedly said while cleaning up his spectacles.  It was also in the COMDDAP Exhibit when Mr. Gacusan, another computer instructor joined the Robot Assembly Workshop which was really  fun and unbelievable.
