A Tribute for Teachers
By Krissa Jamaica S. Reyes
Last October 11, 2010, after the usual Monday flag ceremony, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) headed by their president,
Jeremiah Ramos, organized a surprise tribute for our dear teachers for the Elementary and High School Department.
This is in celebration for the yearly World Teacher’s Day with the theme “My Teacher, My Hero”.
In the said tribute, the officers in every year level presented a dance or a song number in honor our dear teachers. Some class presidents also gave short but touching messages for their advisers. There were also students who even prepared simple tokens or gifts for their favorite teachers. It was a day that was really devoted for our loving second parents.
As students, we should appreciate our mentor’s hard work and sacrifices. They have given half of their life to share their knowledge and educate us. They gave us guidance, support, proper discipline, and unconditional love. So, just for one day, a day of tribute wherein we could give back what they have shared with us is just right. We should never forget them as they would never do that for us. Let’s reward them back of what will become of us in the future. WE SALUTE YOU, DEAR TEACHERS!
